With major universities now offering esports scholarships, Taiwan recognizing esports as an officially, and some vying for esports at the olympics level, we are all embarking on a journey into unknown future where the competivie gaming space may very well replace a lot of the sports programs we’ve been accustomed to for our entire lives.
Moms don’t want their kids getting knocked out in high speed collisions sports. They also don’t want them getting obese from complete lack of exercise and indulging in convenience foods. Eports lies somewhere in the middle where it’s not exactly a healthy sweat, but at least it keeps Sally and Johnny out of trouble and may even pay their way to a major college.
